ALEX AGILLGA
Alex is a 6th year doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at University at Albany. Prior to UAlbany, she served as a City Year AmeriCorps member in Philadelphia, PA. She earned a B.A. from Dickinson College, where she double majored in Africana Studies and Psychology. Alex is passionate about working with and empowering Black people and people of Color. Her research interests lie at the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality, as well as generational status.

CHRISTINA MARTIN
Christina is a 6th year doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at UAlbany. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Christopher Newport University. Her research interests lie within the work of biracial identity development, feelings of distinctiveness and life satisfaction among biracial individuals, and most recently, racial discrimination among African-Americans and its effects on mental health and trauma.
KATHERINE KIRKINIS
Katherine is a 5th year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at UAlbany. She earned a Ed.M. and M.A. in psychological counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.S. in applied psychology from NYU. Her research interests include experiences of discrimination (racism, sexism, heterosexism), race-based trauma, diversity and anti-racism/oppression training, identity development and intersections of identities (race, gender, sexual orientation). Clinically, she is interested in feminism and social justice frameworks.
KATHERYN ROBERSON, TEAM LEADER
Katheryn is a 4th year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University at Albany. She earned a B.A. from Marist College where she double majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She earned her Ed.M. and M.A. in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include racial identity development and impact; factors maintaining racial prejudice; and how racial discrimination can be interrupted and addressed.
LYNSAY PAIKO
Lynsay is a 4th year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at SUNY Albany. She received her B.S. in psychology from SUNY Fredonia in 2013 where she worked on projects related to racism, diversity education and religious identity. Lynsay will receive her M.A. in counseling from University of Denver where she has worked on projects related to multicultural orientation, the impact of race on working alliance and White counseling trainee’s social justice interest and commitment. Her main research interests include development of advocacy in populations of privilege, diversity education, and therapist cultural competence.
RAMON GARCIA
Ramon is a 3rd year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University at Albany. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Baruch College as a SEEK and UMLA student. He is passionate about understanding racism's effects on mental wellbeing as well as working with and empowering young people of color. His research interests include internalized racial oppression and resiliency development.
ALYSSA LOMBARDI
Alyssa is a 2nd year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology Program at UAlbany. She earned both a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester. Alyssa’s research interests include the effects of racism within the LGBTQ+ community, microaggressions, and the impact of intersecting identities (race, gender, sexual orientation) on psychological outcomes.
CHRIS PHANORD
Chris is a 1st year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology Program at UAlbany. He earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan, where he double-majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice Studies with a minor in Sociology. He also obtained his M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. Chris's research interests include the impostor phenomenon, and how marginalized intersecting identities impact feelings of impostorism in college students.
